I am a fangirl. 'Nuff said for now.

Ladies & Gentlemen, The Thieves.

Choi Donghoon’s latest offering The Thieves has recently released its first movie teaser and official movie poster. The heist movie which was initially pegged as the Korean Ocean’s Eleven boasts of a star-studded cast which includes Kim Yunseok, Lee Jungjae, Kim Hyesoo, Jeon Jihyun, Kim Haesook, Kim Soohyun and Oh Dalsu. From the looks of this teaser alone, I’m pretty sure this movie is going to be one hell of a ride!

I think I’ve spazzed myself out yesterday when I saw this teaser… and good thing too. You have been spared. I would like to say though, that my girl is looking OH-SO-GORGEOUS, and if that supposed cinematic noona-dongsaeng loveline between Jihyun and Soohyun were true, I WOULD BE ALL FOR IT. No questions asked. ^^b CHOI DONGHOON, JUST TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!!

As an added treat, here’s the official movie poster released today. Everyone’s looking so FINE. ♥

Now why does July seem SO FAR AWAY??? ;~; I need this movie NOOOOOOOOOW!

Jeon Jihyun ★ Mrs. Sassy Girl

Apologies for the lack of updates on this blog as of late (busy, busy days lately), but I cannot for the life of me pass off this opportunity to share with you my favorite girl’s wedding photos. Especially since she’s just so radiant and stunning and goddess-like. ♥

Jeon Jihyun married her childhood friend, Choi Junhyuk last Friday, April 13th 2012 at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel in Seoul. Celebrity friends such as Jang Hyuk, Cha Taehyun, Hwang Jungmin, Kim Suro, Song Joongki, Kim Soohyun, Kim Hyesoo and Han Yeseul attended the event to wish her well on her marriage.

Here are photos from the press conference held three hours before the wedding, where Jihyun admitted to being very, very nervous meeting the press. ^^ She is so adorable. (Note my obvious bias.)

According to articles, Jihyun had said their honeymoon was pushed back to autumn of this year because after the wedding she will get back to working on her new film, Berlin with Ha Jungwoo, Han Sukkyu and Ryu Seungbum (which, true enough, had begun filming last Monday, April 16th). Hardworking lady, this one.

(Oh well~) Best wishes to the newlyweds! Lovelovelove all around! ♥

MujikMonday ♬ Kim Taewoo

This Monday, I’m taking a break from indie music and sharing some of my favorite songs by G.O.D. magnae Kim Taewoo because he’s one of the most powerful Korean vocalists I’ve ever listened to so far and I love his songs. Most recently, I’ve been addicted to this collaboration project which was released in 2009 as part of a mini-album entitled T-Virus. The song is called Memory & Remembrance with his G.O.D. hyungs Joon Park, Danny Ahn and Son Hoyoung, and it has such an addicting melody, I can’t stop listening to it once I start. Check it out:

This song was perhaps the last song from the T-Virus mini that I stumbled upon on Youtube (because the next song was the first, and I got hooked on that quite easily), and it was just wonderful to hear all four familiar voices in the song. I didn’t even know Joonie hyung was in it until I heard him rap! It was such a delight~ ♥ Also, the fact that the MV is so laid back and fun makes it all the more charming to me. I kind of miss Kyesang oppa though. Does he really not want to sing anymore? /sighs

Moving on to the next song: Love Rain. I randomly found this song on Youtube while looking for more of Kim Taewoo’s solo work because I only had one song of his on my iTunes, which was Words I Want to Say. So I found this gem of a song and fell in love with its upbeat melody, the whimsical-ish feel of the piano arrangement that goes on in the background (something we also hear in Memory & Remembrance actually), and of course Taewoo’s vocals above all.

Lastly, here’s Echo which was released just last year with Taewoo’s full-length album T-School. As usual, Taewoo charmed me with an upbeat song and an addictive melody, along with his usual powerful vocals. It doesn’t hurt that the MV is also very entertaining. Watch it below.

Isn’t he just the most adorable big bear ever? 😛 I’m looking forward to what Taewoo’s going to release next, and I have this tiny little feeling his songs will be inspired by his wife and baby daughter next. ♥

MujikMonday ♬ Lucite Rabbit

Yeah, I know, I know. What is UP with me and Indie music lately? The answer is I don’t even know. My fascination for these types of songs perhaps stemmed from my participation in K-Entertainment RP (role-playing game), but that’s pretty complicated to explain so I’ll just spare you from that and just give you this week’s MujikMonday featured artist.

Lucite Rabbit is like a female version of 10cm in that they’re also a duo playing wonderful music together. The group has Kim Sunyoung on the guitar and Cho Yejin on vocals, and what a lovely combination they make! The first song I’ve heard of them would be Spring, Spring, Spring which I stumbled upon on Youtube while looking for 10cm-ish sounding songs. Here, have a listen:

Spring, Spring, Spring (봄봄봄) — Lucite Rabbit

Spring Spring Spring
(English translation taken from The Lucite Rabbit Thread on Soomp!)

Blue skies, yellow air
It’s the perfect place to talk
So obvious, rushing and becoming hestant
Even if it’s a little boring, please listen
Your voice, your knees and eyelashes
Your everything, I like it all
Your cat, your house and mother
Your everything, I like it all
Your voice, your knees and eyelashes
Your everything, I like it all
Your cat, your house and mother
Your everything, I like it all
Blue skies, yellow air
It’s the perfect place to talk
Ooh~~~ I like it!

Now isn’t that a very relaxing song? It doesn’t hurt that the music video is also actually pretty whimsical in spite of it being quite simple. After listening to this song I wanted more, so I sampled more of their songs which were uploaded on Youtube, and I discovered this lovely little happy gem called Dugeun Dugeun:

Dugeun Dugeun (두근두근) — Lucite Rabbit

If you’re an avid viewer of a show called We Got Married, you’d perhaps have heard this song before. I’m not very sure when it was used, but I saw some comments on Youtube saying that this song was on one YongSeo (Jung Yonghwa & SNSD Seohyun) episode. I like this song so much I think I’ve listened to it on loop several times after I’ve downloaded it; it’s just sooooo sweet and addicting and happy. I just love happy, refreshing songs. ♥

Aaaand the third and last song for this week’s MujikMonday would be Play With Me in My Dream, which is now one of my go-to songs when I want to calm myself down in the face of work deadlines. Hee. I listen to it once and my shoulders kind of melt at the sound. Just what I need to relax when real life (ie. WORK) goes on overdrive and decides to annoy me more than it should. When I finally learn how to drive—and I wonder when that will happen—I’m definitely going to play a lot of Lucite Rabbit in my car, especially if I’m on a road trip perhaps somewhere up North.

Play With Me in My Dream (꿈에선 놀아줘) — Lucite Rabbit

I unfortunately have not found English translations to Dugeun Dugeun and Play With Me in My Dream just yet, but I’ll most probably just edit this post in case I find one (or be able to translate it myself, hah!) in the future. Meanwhile, here’s a good read about the amazing ladies behind the music of Lucite Tokki.

Happy Monday, everyone! ♥

And now it’s time for awkward photos: The Jung Yunho & Lee Yeonhee Edition

Okay, don’t get me wrong, I obviously love Yunho but… okay take a look at these photos first:

I don’t know what exactly the concept for this photo shoot is, but Yunho’s face spells Dazed and Confused to me instead of Cosmopolitan. What do you think?

But guuuuuhhhh that photo with the guitar just slayed me. I want that in poster form so I can put it up on my wall and wake up to it every morning. RAWR. /paws
