Jeon Jihyun ★ Mrs. Sassy Girl

Apologies for the lack of updates on this blog as of late (busy, busy days lately), but I cannot for the life of me pass off this opportunity to share with you my favorite girl’s wedding photos. Especially since she’s just so radiant and stunning and goddess-like. ♥

Jeon Jihyun married her childhood friend, Choi Junhyuk last Friday, April 13th 2012 at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel in Seoul. Celebrity friends such as Jang Hyuk, Cha Taehyun, Hwang Jungmin, Kim Suro, Song Joongki, Kim Soohyun, Kim Hyesoo and Han Yeseul attended the event to wish her well on her marriage.

Here are photos from the press conference held three hours before the wedding, where Jihyun admitted to being very, very nervous meeting the press. ^^ She is so adorable. (Note my obvious bias.)

According to articles, Jihyun had said their honeymoon was pushed back to autumn of this year because after the wedding she will get back to working on her new film, Berlin with Ha Jungwoo, Han Sukkyu and Ryu Seungbum (which, true enough, had begun filming last Monday, April 16th). Hardworking lady, this one.

(Oh well~) Best wishes to the newlyweds! Lovelovelove all around! ♥

HAPPY 27th BIRTHDAY, PRINCE YUNHO! ♥

And because it’s my Prince’s birthday, I’m going to spam with lovely photos. This first batch is from the Mulberry Event which was held last February 3. I must say that while I still have reservations about Yunho’s current hair color, I think the outfit he wore was ROCKIN’. Love how those jeans are so tight. *cough*thighs*cough*
Anyway—ON TO THE PRETTY SPAM!!! ♥

Oh, oh… I also quite like the fact that he’s photographed with all these animals (I’m not sure if they’re wooden or balloons, though) at the background. It’s like 1) he’s attending a children’s party, which is adorable because HELLO~~~ Yunho + kids = explodingovaries LOVE, and 2) the universe is telling him to memorize what these animals look like just in case he needed to draw them again for a game or an interview or whatnot. 😛 YUNHO, PLEASE REMEMBER, THANK YOU. ^^ (Though yeah… there aren’t any rhinos in this set-up. /sad)

And again… HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUNHO! ^____________^
I love you. But you already know that. But I wanted to say it again anyway. ♥

TVXQ Tuesday ★ A TONE Tour Mini-Spam

I’ve just noticed the utter lack of TVXQ/THSK in this blog—Yunho, Changmin, you have to forgive noona for being a bit scatterbrained lately—so today I’m posting these wonderful fan-taken photos from the first two stops of the boys’ TONE Live Tour in Yokohama and Nagoya.

Ready? Set. OGLE!

Random musings:

★ I have something to say about Yunho’s hair color and Changmin’s hairstyle, but I don’t want to sound like a whiny betch so… yeah. /shuts up

★ I’m not sure if Changmin fell or just collapsed in some of the pics above. The poor dear. Staging a big concert like this is pretty tough, especially now that there are only two of them holding the show together.

★ Why do we only get wet!Changmin? Where’s wet!Yunho?

★ Those finale shirts are damn pretty. I wish a miracle would happen and I’d get one of my own soon.

★ I was going to post photos Yunho humping the air during his Honey Funny Bunny stint, but the world already has population issues. Y’all just get pregnant when the official HD videos come out, which, hopefully, will be soon.

Attention: KPop fans, this is a G.O.D. post

So, if you’re a relatively new KPop fan, chances are you wouldn’t even know what/who G.O.D. is but that’s okay. I didn’t know about them either when I started fangirling over DBSK six years ago. My introduction to G.O.D. came by way of this gorgeous, amazing person right here:

Son Hoyoung // G.O.D.

Right. Are you done admiring the photo? ^^b Okay, moving on—

It was in 2008 when my sister and I saw his I Know performance on KBS Music Bank and I was just so drawn to it because 1) the song was catchy, 2) the dance moves were pretty good, and; 3) his chest lights up when the performance reaches its climax, which I thought was PRETTY DARN COOL! [ Here’s a sample of that performance, not necessarily the one we actually saw. ] Anyway, after Hoyoung’s I Know promotions, I somehow got an mp3 copy of Kim Taewoo’s Words I Want to Say… but even that didn’t bring me to G.O.D. since I didn’t have any idea that Taewoo was part of the band.

Anyway, I kept that mp3 because I loved the song a lot, but I never really touched on anything G.O.D. again until I became a full-fledged Jeon Jihyun stan.

You see, one of Jeon Jihyun’s favorite songs is G.O.D.’s To Mother, and I instantly looked that song up just to satisfy my curiosity. Turns out it’s a very meaningful, touching song about a mother and her sacrifices to raise her child by herself. It had been a very popular song at the time it was released, and easily catapulted the group to fame. I guess it’s safe to say the group never looked back since.

THSK ★ Winter Rose PV

It’s the most wonderful time of the year~ and is there any other wonderful way to spend it than with a couple of good-looking boys serenading you in the snow with a promise of having hot chocolate by the fire a little later? Nope, didn’t think so.

Anyway, THSK’s Winter Rose PV came out last night and watching it makes me want to just hug both Yunho and Changmin and listen to their heavenly voices forever. ♥ Watch:

I personally would’ve wanted scenes where Yunho and Changmin interacted with the two child actors in the video, but I guess Santa wasn’t feeling too generous this time around. (But I have been soooo good this year!) Seriously, it would’ve made the PV much more heartwarming if we’d seen something like the boys helping the kids with the Christmas tree, or even bringing them gifts/opening gifts with them. Oh the warm fuzzies the thought of it gives me. ^^

Merry Christmas, everyone. ♥

My OTP is Better Than Yours ∞ Jeon Jihyun + Jung Woosung Spam

As I’ve already mentioned in my All About Jeon Jihyun Spam-slash-Spazz Post, this couple right here is my K-Ent OTP. Jihyun and Woosung have started working as CF partners for the clothing apparel brand Giordano since 2001, and played star-crossed lovers in 2006’s Daisy. They are, in my opinion, one of the best couplings the Korean CF and film industry has ever put together… and I fervently wish for a reunion project in the near future. (I also wish for them to end up together in real life, because really… don’t you think they’d make beautiful, gorgeous babies?)

Come on K-drama/movie/CF gods… won’t you listen to a poor fangirl’s plea?

Yunho on Ice ★ AKA The Determination of Jung Yunho

I was delaying and delaying and delaying this post for a long time because I’d wanted it to be a collection of all of Yunho’s Kiss & Cry videos from the beginning of the show until either he leaves or the show finishes. Since he left without so much as a warning (we’ll come to that later), I’m still kind of clinging to the thought that he and his partner Claudia Muller will still be appearing and performing for the show one of these days. Looks like that’s not going to happen soon, though. /disappointed

Aaaaaanyway… here are Yunho’s ice performances since Kiss & Cry’s Day One. ENJOY! ^^

Homage to Michael Jackson | 05.22.2011

Yunho’s very first performance for the show was inspired by none other than his idol (and mine), the late King of Pop Michael Jackson. He used three songs in this performance: Smooth Criminal, Man in the Mirror, and Beat It, all of which are my personal favorites. So is it a wonder that I love this performance? (Who am I kidding, I love everything that has Yunho in it… I think. :P)

The highlight of this performance? Well, aside from the moonwalking on ice, there’s also Changmin watching and supporting his hyung on the sidelines! Nothing makes me happier than their brotherhood, so even if Changmin’s not part of the performance, I’ll give him a score of 10/10 for looking so proud and encouraging of Yunho. ♥

Summer Nights (from the motion picture Grease) | 06.12.2011

This is Yunho and Claudia’s first couple performance, and you can see how tense Yunho was in this. He barely had any time to practice before the show because of TVXQ’s overseas activities, and they even failed miserably at the sudden pre-show evaluation, so that could’ve been the first blow to his ego. The worse part is that he even fell during the performance seconds before it ended! Aw, look at his face… he just couldn’t hide his disappointment.

The highlight of this performance for me would be the entrance and the finale. Yunho really knows how to bring on the charm, that even when they’ve just began he got all those girls swooning over him… and even with that disastrous fall he managed to get up quickly and look cool at the ending. That was pretty tough in my opinion. I’ve tried falling on ice before and it’s not easy to get up. :\ (Or maybe I’m just a klutz.)

BBoy Loves a Ballerina | 07.03.2011

My favorite performance ever. Both Yunho and Claudia enjoyed this performance, and you can see how they’re both so into the dancing that you can’t help but bounce your head and wiggle in your seat while you’re watching them. No mistakes in this one… and Yunho even managed to do a little lift somewhere in the middle of the performance. Considering the fact that Yunho had been in Paris and Spain until two days before the actual performance, it was a pretty mean feat.

It was in this performance that I really saw the determination in Yunho. Sure, you can say it’s always been present, but he just really outdid himself this time. And at this point I told myself, “there is nothing in this world that can stop this man from being the best he can be.” And you gotta love him for that. Highlights? EVERYTHING in this performance is worth highlighting. Just look at all the repeats they made on the editing! 😛

Marionette | 07.24.2011

…in which SHINee’s Choi Minho makes a cameo. 😛

Straight to the highlight! WHAT ABOUT THAT LIFT, GUISE!? Pretty impressive, right? I was already holding my breath when Yunho lifted Claudia by the waist and she kind of moves her feet in the air while he’s gliding on ice, and then he does this lift and spin thing? Goodness gracious, Yunho, what are you on!? One moment you’re conquering concert stages, and then you go lifting a girl in your arms and spinning on ice like a motherfucking BOSS!? GDI, stop being so freakin’ perfect, will you?

/end spazz Oh wait. Can I just say that he looks so goddamn gorgeous in that tux? Yes, well… he always looks gorgeous to me, but HOT DAYUM! /end spazz

[ Finale Performance ] Star Wars | 07.31.2011

#2 Best Performance, and sadly YunDia’s last. I don’t know who the Star Wars fan is… is it you, Yunho? Because I’d be thinking more of Changmin, that adorable geek. 😛 Anyway, I can’t stop giggling after this performance, not only because it’s so awesome… but also because I keep thinking of “Yunho’s Lightsaber” afterwards. It’s so… long, don’t you think? LMAO. (It lights up in the dark, too! LOL. That might be a little awkward~)

Highlights? I really loved the part where they were kind of dueling with the lightsabers… and also the finale where they spin and Yunho has these fireworks coming out of his skates. Now that’s what you call a performance. Bringing your own fireworks to a show, even. 😛 I wonder if the fireworks hurt his back though… ._.

Before all of these performances you can see how Yunho and Claudia rehearse for every week’s piece, and you can also note how many times Yunho fell, and fell, and fell. It’s countless of times, really. He even scratched his back on ice while he was practicing for the BBoy piece, and he really looked hella hurt, rubbing his back like that.

I’ve been a fan of Yunho for five years now, and although deep in my heart I knew that he’d work his hardest for Kiss & Cry, there would still be doubts in my head that he could make it. How could I have been someone of so little faith? Of course… If it’s Jung Yunho, then if DEFINITELY can be done!

You just got to love him for his heart. ♥

MujikMonday ♬ Kim Taewoo

This Monday, I’m taking a break from indie music and sharing some of my favorite songs by G.O.D. magnae Kim Taewoo because he’s one of the most powerful Korean vocalists I’ve ever listened to so far and I love his songs. Most recently, I’ve been addicted to this collaboration project which was released in 2009 as part of a mini-album entitled T-Virus. The song is called Memory & Remembrance with his G.O.D. hyungs Joon Park, Danny Ahn and Son Hoyoung, and it has such an addicting melody, I can’t stop listening to it once I start. Check it out:

Memory & Remembrance (기억과추억) — Kim Taewoo

Click here for lyrics and translations.

This song was perhaps the last song from the T-Virus mini that I stumbled upon on Youtube (because the next song was the first, and I got hooked on that quite easily), and it was just wonderful to hear all four familiar voices in the song. I didn’t even know Joonie hyung was in it until I heard him rap! It was such a delight~ ♥ Also, the fact that the MV is so laid back and fun makes it all the more charming to me. I kind of miss Kyesang oppa though. Does he really not want to sing anymore? /sighs

Moving on to the next song: Love Rain. I randomly found this song on Youtube while looking for more of Kim Taewoo’s solo work because I only had one song of his on my iTunes, which was Words I Want to Say. So I found this gem of a song and fell in love with its upbeat melody, the whimsical-ish feel of the piano arrangement that goes on in the background (something we also hear in Memory & Remembrance actually), and of course Taewoo’s vocals above all.

Love Rain (사랑비) — Kim Taewoo (English subbed)

Lastly, here’s Echo which was released just last year with Taewoo’s full-length album T-School. As usual, Taewoo charmed me with an upbeat song and an addictive melody, along with his usual powerful vocals. It doesn’t hurt that the MV is also very entertaining. Watch it below.

Echo (메아리) — Kim Taewoo

Isn’t he just the most adorable big bear ever? 😛 I’m looking forward to what Taewoo’s going to release next, and I have this tiny little feeling his songs will be inspired by his wife and baby daughter next. ♥

MujikMonday ♬ Lucite Rabbit

Yeah, I know, I know. What is UP with me and Indie music lately? The answer is I don’t even know. My fascination for these types of songs perhaps stemmed from my participation in K-Entertainment RP (role-playing game), but that’s pretty complicated to explain so I’ll just spare you from that and just give you this week’s MujikMonday featured artist.

Lucite Rabbit is like a female version of 10cm in that they’re also a duo playing wonderful music together. The group has Kim Sunyoung on the guitar and Cho Yejin on vocals, and what a lovely combination they make! The first song I’ve heard of them would be Spring, Spring, Spring which I stumbled upon on Youtube while looking for 10cm-ish sounding songs. Here, have a listen:

Spring, Spring, Spring (봄봄봄) — Lucite Rabbit

Spring Spring Spring
(English translation taken from The Lucite Rabbit Thread on Soomp!)

Blue skies, yellow air
It’s the perfect place to talk
So obvious, rushing and becoming hestant
Even if it’s a little boring, please listen
Your voice, your knees and eyelashes
Your everything, I like it all
Your cat, your house and mother
Your everything, I like it all
Your voice, your knees and eyelashes
Your everything, I like it all
Your cat, your house and mother
Your everything, I like it all
Blue skies, yellow air
It’s the perfect place to talk
Ooh~~~ I like it!

Now isn’t that a very relaxing song? It doesn’t hurt that the music video is also actually pretty whimsical in spite of it being quite simple. After listening to this song I wanted more, so I sampled more of their songs which were uploaded on Youtube, and I discovered this lovely little happy gem called Dugeun Dugeun:

Dugeun Dugeun (두근두근) — Lucite Rabbit

If you’re an avid viewer of a show called We Got Married, you’d perhaps have heard this song before. I’m not very sure when it was used, but I saw some comments on Youtube saying that this song was on one YongSeo (Jung Yonghwa & SNSD Seohyun) episode. I like this song so much I think I’ve listened to it on loop several times after I’ve downloaded it; it’s just sooooo sweet and addicting and happy. I just love happy, refreshing songs. ♥

Aaaand the third and last song for this week’s MujikMonday would be Play With Me in My Dream, which is now one of my go-to songs when I want to calm myself down in the face of work deadlines. Hee. I listen to it once and my shoulders kind of melt at the sound. Just what I need to relax when real life (ie. WORK) goes on overdrive and decides to annoy me more than it should. When I finally learn how to drive—and I wonder when that will happen—I’m definitely going to play a lot of Lucite Rabbit in my car, especially if I’m on a road trip perhaps somewhere up North.

Play With Me in My Dream (꿈에선 놀아줘) — Lucite Rabbit

I unfortunately have not found English translations to Dugeun Dugeun and Play With Me in My Dream just yet, but I’ll most probably just edit this post in case I find one (or be able to translate it myself, hah!) in the future. Meanwhile, here’s a good read about the amazing ladies behind the music of Lucite Tokki.

Happy Monday, everyone! ♥

And now it’s time for awkward photos: The Jung Yunho & Lee Yeonhee Edition

Okay, don’t get me wrong, I obviously love Yunho but… okay take a look at these photos first:

I don’t know what exactly the concept for this photo shoot is, but Yunho’s face spells Dazed and Confused to me instead of Cosmopolitan. What do you think?

But guuuuuhhhh that photo with the guitar just slayed me. I want that in poster form so I can put it up on my wall and wake up to it every morning. RAWR. /paws

Yunho and Co. are “Good Downloaders”

One of Yunho’s activities last week included a photo shoot and video filming for a campaign called “I Am a Good Downloader,” which teamed him up with actors and fellow artists like 2PM’s Nickhun, Wondergirls’ Sohee, f(x)’s Sulli, Yoon Dohyun, actress Lee Minjung and actors Ahn Sungki and Jang Hyuk (!!!). The campaign will be addressing the problem of illegal downloads, and apparently this isn’t the first time that the K-Entertainment industry has done this either, since I found some articles and videos on it from 2009 as well.

Here’s a news clip that featured what went on behind-the-scenes:

Korean artists for "I Am a Good Downloader" Campaign 2012.

Korean artists for "I Am a Good Downloader" Campaign 2012.

An interesting thing about this campaign shoot is that they had this little Q&A thing which aired in SBS One Night Entertainment (not sure this is the exact title of the show). Check out Yunho’s cut (unsubbed yet, sadly) below:

There are some rough translations and news articles that came out regarding this video though, one of them being about Yunho not having a girlfriend at the moment. Yoon Dohyun asked him something along the lines of “When do you feel like you want to have a girlfriend the most?” and Yunho replied with “When I’m sick.”

Collective awwwwwwww. I’m pretty sure the queue of women wanting to take care of you could circle around the world a couple of times and even reach Pluto and back again, Yunho. You’ll see me there, too.

The second article that came out is about Yunho wanting to act with Jang Hyuk, which kind of gave me a mini (good) heart attack the moment I figured it out. OHMYGODYUNHO YES EXCELLENT CHOICE! I have to say, though, you’re going to have to improve on those acting skills to be able to take on Jang Hyuk because man, HE IS GOING TO EAT YOU ALIVE acting-wise. The man is a monster. But anyway… Jang Hyuk and Yunho sitting together (you can see that somewhere in the clip and on some other clips floating around Youtube) just makes my fangirl heart happy. Talk about epic fandom collisions. ♥ Now all we need is Jang Hyuk’s Windstruck leading lady and Yunho to meet, and my fangirl life would be practically complete.

Come on K-gods, you can make that happen, can’t you?
